One thing’s for sure, Washington mountain biking is in a league of its own! Enjoy breathtaking views as you ride up, down, and around our beautiful state.
Freund Canyon ride
You can leave right from the inn and bike three miles to the trail head, or do the "American thing" and load the bikes and drive to the trail head. (How did we ever start driving to a bike ride?)

Going up
The Freund Canyon ride is a strong climb up. It takes a seasoned rider about an hour, with a couple of stops for views, and a walk over a tough spot. Elevation gain is about 1400 feet.
Going down
The single track down is just plain fun, not technical, but watch your speed. Many water bars (mounds of piled earth to divert water) cross the trail creating a roller coaster effect. Did I say fun? Some folks do this trail twice in a day just because of the downhill.
Other rides
Yes, there are many more mountain bike rides in and around the Icicle Valley. We are 25 minutes from Devil's Gulch, probably the most acclaimed single track in the state. Also, the miles of single track in the Maverick Saddle area of Lake Wenatchee is heaven for serious riders. We will get you going right after breakfast!
