Run of the River's understated elegance and graceful hospitality has made it a top pick for accommodations in Washington State since 1986. Whether you are interested in a romantic getaway, an extreme adventure, a holiday vacation, or an opportunity to enjoy the magic and beauty of the state of Washington, we are here to help make your trip unforgettable.
To insure that everyone's stay is most enjoyable, we have a few general policies. We ask that you take a moment to read the policies below and become familiar with them, in preparation for your stay with us.
Roosting: Reservations may be made up to one year in advance.
Minimum Stay Requirements: A two night minimum stay is requisite for all reservations that include a Friday and/or Saturday night stay. Federally observed holidays, all weekends in October, Thanksgiving + weekend, all weekends in December and reservations falling between December 20th and January 5th require a minimum three night booking.
One night reservations will be considered Sunday through Thursday, based on availability. Room choice is not guaranteed. Payment in full is required at the time of booking, and is non-refundable.
Ravenwood Lodge: Two night minimum required for all stays.
Please note: Leavenworth and the entire Icicle Valley is truly magical during the holiday season and should not be missed. In order to enable our staff to be with their families at this special time, we do not offer check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. We appreciate your understanding.
Deposit: A deposit equal to one half your total stay will be charged to your Visa, MasterCard or Discover at the time of booking. Your deposit and credit card will guarantee your stay.
One night stays are charged in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
Gift Certificates: If you will be using a Gift Certificate as payment in full or in part for your stay, the certificate number must be given when making the reservation to act as your deposit. If the value of the certificate you will be using is less than the required deposit, your credit card will be charged to make up the difference. In all cases, the physical certificate must be present and surrendered upon check-out for use as payment.
Third Party Payers: In the case of a third party payer, the total cost of the stay will be charged in full to the payer’s Visa, MasterCard or Discover at the time of booking.
Cancellations: We understand that situations arise which make cancellations unavoidable. However, last minute cancellations affect us significantly and are difficult to fill. **Most reservations require notice of cancellation 14 days prior to the date of arrival.
*Exceptions are as follows:
One-Night reservations: One night reservations may be cancelled but are non-refundable.
Federally observed holidays: All reservations booked over federal holidays (including 3 day ***weekends), require notice of cancellation 30 days prior to the date of arrival.
Oktoberfest & the Holiday Season: All reservations booked for ***weekends in October, ***Thanksgiving+weekend, ***weekends in December, and reservations falling between December 20th through January 5th, require notice of cancellation 30 days prior to the date of arrival. Cancellation of October weekend, Thanksgiving+weekend or any reservation falling between December 20th through January 5th, is subject to a minimum $150.00 non-refundable service fee.
Group reservations: Parties booking three or more suites for the same dates is considered a "group reservation". Group reservations require a deposit equal to one half your total stay for each suite reserved. A deposit equal to this amount (whether to separate credit cards or to one card) will be charged at the time of booking. Group reservations require notice of cancellation 60 days prior to arrival date. Cancellation of any group reservation, at any time, is subject to a minimum $50.00 per room, non-refundable service fee. Additional cancellation policies still apply.
***Weekend is defined as any reservation that includes a Friday and or Saturday night stay.
Refunds: Deposits will be cheerfully refunded (less a $25 booking fee) if your cancellation is made according to the outline of policies listed here**. Please be sure to read *Exceptions. Cancellations given on very short notice (7 days or less) will be charged in full and may subject to additional fees. As previously noted, cancellation of any group reservation at any time is subject to a minimum $50.00 non-refundable service fee, per room. Cancellation of October weekend, Thanksgiving+weekend or any reservation falling between December 20th through January 5th, is subject to a minimum $150.00 non-refundable booking fee. Deposits made for reservations of one night are non-refundable.
Add-ons: All excursions, services and tours will be charged in full, at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
Smoke-free: The inn and grounds are smoke free. Thank you for your compliance.
Adults only: Run of the River Inn and Refuge is for adults (18 years or older) and all Suites and Ravenwood Lodge are single or double occupancy only.
Pets: We are unable to accommodate pets on property but have exclusive off property accommodations and care available so that you may enjoy your time with your “best friend”, while in the area. Please contact us for more info.
Check-In: 3:00-6:00 pm. To allow us time to prepare the inn for you and others, please do not arrive for check-in before 3:00 pm. Late arrivals are never a problem. If arriving after 6:00 pm, kindly call us toll free at 800-288-6491 so we can arrange for a late arrival packet for you. Thank you for your courtesy.
Check-Out: 11:00 am. Failure to comply will result in additional charges.
Lost and Found: All found items and items left behind will be held for 90 days.
Winter Travel: Winter driving conditions can begin as early as October and continue through April. When traveling to Leavenworth, chances are very good that you will travel through the mountains and over passes. Therefore, you should have an all-wheel drive vehicle and carry chains with you (to control damages incurred, rental companies no longer supply chains for their customers).
Our county roads and driveways are nearly always in excellent condition. There are times, however, when it becomes necessary for one or more of the mountain passes to close. The Washington State Department of Transportation does an excellent job of maintaining the highways and most closures are brief (usually for clearing or avalanche control). We will refund deposits only if both Stevens (Highway 2) and Snoqualmie (I-90) passes are closed and are deemed impassable for the day. If you make a winter reservation please take caution and prepare for winter driving conditions. See our website for more information and our Winter Driving Survival Guide.
