Seasons at the Inn

With full expression of all four seasons, Run of the River is an ideal Washington state vacation spot. Enjoy views of the Cascade Mountains as you sip hot cocoa and watch the snow fall, or enjoy a beautiful spring day as you meander along a babbling brook. Run of the River will keep you warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot. No matter what time of year, we are sure you will enjoy beautiful Leavenworth, WA.

Summer/Spring
Break out the bikes, the running shoes, and golf clubs — spring and summer offer perfect days and soft, breezy nights. Deer and other wildlife abound on the property during this time of year, so have your camera nearby. In spring, early wildflowers bloom, apple trees bulge with buds, and the sky is brilliant blue. Come summer, activities and events are in full swing – including our wonderful outdoor musical theatre. Ahhh. . .this is living.

Fall
Foliage is stunning in the crisp, bright autumn afternoons that grace the valley. Snow caps the crest of the mountains in the fall, creating a masterpiece of rugged beauty. Bright fall trees line a quietly meandering river, yawning in preparation of the sleepy winter days ahead. At the inn, seasonal accents and a thousand locally grown pumpkins transform the inn into a warm and welcoming showplace.

Holiday
The Holiday season brings a peaceful winter wonderland, tucked away cozily amid falling snow and frosty air. It just can't get better than this! (We've even been featured on "Northwest Backroads" for our Holiday charm – click here to watch the video.) Sit back with a cup of spiced cider and watch from your private deck as snow drifts lazily over the Icicle Ridge. Sleigh rides and music, holiday lights and carols. We'll help you find what you're looking for to make the season memorable.

Winter
Brisk winter days are warmed by the hospitality of a staff committed to making your stay a friendly and unforgettable one-no exceptions! Complimentary use of Redfeather snowshoes provides outstanding winter recreation along breathtaking scenic trails throughout the Icicle Valley. The way is always clear for an evening trek to soak in the outdoor hot tub, as big flakes of snow fall gently around you. Can relaxing get any better than this?
