Updated information & Policies
We would like to provide you with an update to keep you informed of the plans we have currently outlined to help us move forward to reopening Run of the River to our beloved guests in the near future.
We are currently taking new reservations for June 5th and beyond. Reservations must be made directly through our website. Our website is fully operational and continually updated.
We will continue to use email for all business. Due to our significantly reduced staff, we apologize in advance if our lag time is greater than normal. If you have questions, please email us at Please remember to leave a telephone number where you can be reached and what times are preferable.
Our highest priority is the health and safety of our guests and our staff. We have always executed our cleaning practices in accordance with CDC guidelines and we continue to monitor updates and guidance from our state and county health departments, the CDC, WHO, and OSHA s they are made available.
We have always maintained a high standard of cleanliness and service and are constantly reviewing our processes to enhance our procedures which will include more frequent cleaning of “high touch” areas, implementation of a low contact check-in and check-out process, modified morning breakfasts and afternoon fare, temporary closure of the “common area," and modification of our daily room servicing, which will be by request only.
During this time, a Self-Check-In and a streamlined Check-out process will be fully implemented. Details of these processes will be given via email, prior to your arrival.
All our rooms offer private exterior entrances and private decks; these features offer seclusion and safety, helping to ensure very limited to no contact with other guests.
We are interrupting our usual communal breakfast and will be bringing onboard an expanded continental breakfast that will be delivered to your room each morning between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Afternoon “goodies” will also be delivered to your room each day.
Once there is a confident handle on COVID-19 pandemic, it is our full intent to bring back our extended, more social breakfast time, and afternoon goodies.
We are waiving our 14-day cancellation policy and offering a 72-hour cancellation period through July 31, 2020.
For those who have booked reservations through July 31, 2020 and cannot stay with us per your current confirmed reservation, you may select one of the following options:
CHOICE #1 - Reschedule your stay for any available dates through 2021 using our “Change the Date” option. You do not need to decide on new dates straight away. Just email us (email@example.com) to let us know that you are choosing this option. We will make a note of this preference in your portfolio. If you do have new dates in mind, we will be happy get you rebooked and will send a new confirmation for your date change. Those who choose this option will have a choice of either a FREE upgrade to Ravenwood Lodge (if available) OR an additional night with our compliments.
CHOICE #2 - Cancel and receive a Run of the River Gift Certificate in the amount of original deposit. We are waiving our standard policy for these (COVID-19) gift certificates. They will be good for the entire amount of your deposit, AND you may choose to whom you would like the certificate to be awarded to. We will leave the “Compliments of” portion of the certificate blank, for you to fill out as you wish. Please remember that whoever the lucky recipient is, they MUST share the certificate number when making their reservation AND have the actual certificate to surrender when staying with us.
Several of our wonderful guests have chosen to make their certificate out to an emergency responder, health care provider, grocery store employee, or other non-profit who have been particularly helpful during this time. You may also wish to consider using the certificate for a Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, wedding, or birthday gift for someone special. Additionally, you might think about donating the certificate to your children’s school, a church, or a fundraising event that you support. These groups are ALWAYS looking for and so appreciative of donations for silent auctions and galas.
All other policies are unaffected and still apply to all reservations.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE OUR POLICIES AND OTHER OPERATIONS THAT ARE NECESSARY OR APPROPRIATE FOR THE EVOLVING CIRCUMSTANCES.
