“Much more than we ever thought possible”
We found Run of the River by doing a search for elopement in Washington. We had never been there before and I am so very glad we took the chance.
Every detail is thought of. We were simply blown away by the room, the amenities, the view!!! We stayed in the Enchantments suite and I honestly could have stayed longer.
My now husband and I got married on the back deck with the most breathtaking backdrop covered in snow. Thank you to Steve and Jan for clearing off the deck for us to stand outside. I couldn't have asked for more. They helped make our day one we will not forget.
The package included two nights in a wonderfully cozy and romantic room/setting, an officiant, photographer, flowers, champagne. Everything we needed really. While we were getting pics, they provided us with some little surprises which I will keep to myself.
I can't say enough about our stay... we are already booked to go back for our one year anniversary. And we cannot wait.

We had an amazing stay! The inn is not just a refuge for wildlife, but for humans too. It was perfect in every way: The accommodation was comfortable, the breakfasts were superb, and the staff were extremely helpful. Pity we never did see the bear, however we saw lots of other critters.
Thank you for making the start of our vacation in Washington so memorable!
We came with our adult children and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Leavenworth! The snow fell straight down, and the wind didn't blow making it perfect! The owners, Jan and Steve were so welcoming and worked hard to make sure our time there was perfect! The breakfast couldn't be beat, and the holiday decorations were gorgeous!! Each room was immaculate and the jacuzzi tubs were so welcome at the end of the day. It was a beautiful time and we will definitely go back!!
From the Guestbook - Neha and Hemant, Bellevue, WA
Soft snow and smokey exahales
Brave trees holding up against the chill
A river enveloped in white
Tiny pools still feeding geese
Chirpy little birds and mischievous squirrel
Lazy snowflakes float in the air
like a daydream …
Shiver with a cup of cocoa
at the rustic deck
Here I am, finding peace on a swing
Who knew birdwatching brings such glee!
Impressive mountains with foggy tips
holding so still …
Quells my soul with happy gratitude
And all of the wonder
that helps one heal.
Retreat indoors into joyful warmth
A haven come alive from the words of a fairytale …
Moods that snail-mail me
to a cozy space and time.
Reading, dreaming by the twinkling tree
and snuggled by the fireplace …
Watching my love
painting by the window
Today is a muse …
I am the happiest I have ever been.
